Our small 225 acre farm, located west of Kyogle in the beautiful Northern Rivers region of NSW, is renowned for producing superb quality beef.
In 2013 we established a paddock to plate meat business. For two years we attended two farmers’ markets weekly to sell our beef. Whilst this was an overwhelming success, people wanted to speak to the farmer and ensure the meat was ethically and nutritionally what they were looking for. It was a real drain on the time we had to develop the farm. In late 2015 we took the decision to cease operating at the weekly markets and for a time we simply had our on-line shopping cart which was removed finally June 2016.

With a firm commitment to improve our soils over time we have adopted sustainable management since 2011.
With the assistance of Geoff and Fiona Bassett, we have implemented a controlled program of soil development through soil testing, use of green manure crops, and the use of bio-dynamic preparations 500 to 507. We have noted significant improvement in pasture growth, colour of pasture, condition of the cattle, depth of pasture roots and worm populations in the soil. It is our intention to continue to develop our soils through these processes.
